Rachel Ruto Celebrates President William Ruto’s 59th Birthday With Heartfelt Prayer

First Lady Rachel Ruto took to social media to celebrate her husband, President William Ruto, on his 59th birthday on December 21, 2025, thanking God for the journey they have shared together.

“My dear Bill, happy birthday! Today, I thank God for the gift of your life, for the journey we have walked together, for your courage in moments of uncertainty, and for the steady love and discipline with which you carry the weight of leadership. I have seen your heart for Kenya, your tireless commitment to serve, and the quiet sacrifices that often go unseen,” she wrote.

She also prayed for her husband’s well-being.

“As you mark another year, my prayer is that God grants you good health, inner peace, and renewed strength. May He surround you with wisdom, protect your steps, and reward your labour with hope for our nation and joy in our family. With all my love and gratitude, I celebrate you, not only as a leader, a father and a husband, but as the man God has entrusted to us,” Rachel added.

President Ruto has faced several challenges since taking office, including the 2024 Finance Bill protests led by Gen-Z activists, which resulted in the burning of Parliament and the dissolution of the Cabinet. He later gained momentum when the late Raila Odinga joined him and provided experts to lead some ministries.

Prominent figures also joined in sending birthday wishes. Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura wrote online, “Happy birthday President William Samoei Ruto. May our dear LORD continue to guide and protect you as you serve and lead this great country Kenya.”

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja pledged support to the president in his birthday message to the boss.

“A very Happy Birthday to the Chief Hustler, President William Ruto! 59 looks good on you, Sir! Thank you for being a President who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty working for his people.  We are behind you 100%. Have a great one, Mr. President!” Sakaja wrote.
