Armed men on Sunday raided former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga’s Opoda farm in Bondo, Siaya County.
The thugs who reportedly cut through the fence are said to have stolen livestock; geese, sheep and goats.
The guards recorded their statements at the Bondo Police Station on Monday but have apparently been fired for fear that it could have been an inside job.
Siaya DCIO Samwel Cheruiyot confirmed the reports saying that no arrests have been made so far.
County Commissioner Joseph Narengo said his officers were interrogating the workers who they suspect could have worked in cahoots with the thieves.

“We will soon establish who was behind the incident. Geese cannot easily be handled by strangers,” he said.
According to the county commissioner, the farm is heavily guarded by officers from the Recce Squad and might have been on duty during the incident.
