RailaRaila Odinga on Friday termed the supreme court ruling as a victory for Kenya.

The NASA presidential candidate has said that the ruling serves as a precedent to Kenya for years to come and also to the world.

The Former Prime Minister maintained that the ruling has proven that no one is above the law.

He applauded Justice David Maraga for his courage and honored the judges who dissented saying that they contributed in steadying the march towards democracy.

He reiterated that the ruling also put to trial the international observers saying that they were quick to sanitize fraud.

Odinga said that they wanted other people to go to court on their behalf but decided to pursue the case themselves due to the governments crack down on NGOs like KHRC and AfriCOG.

He stated that the current IEBC was rotten and the conspirators to the fraud that was the August 8 election should face criminal charges. He said that his team did not have faith in the Wafula Chebukati led commission.

Mr Odinga also pointed out that the REAL results were not shared with the public. He said that he was the legitimate winner of the elections.

He urged the police not to be used by politicians to cause violence as they took an oath of service to all. He made reference to the death of 6 month old Samantha Pendo and 8 year old Stephanie Georges who were killed by the police in the wake of protests.

The NASA leader thanked his legal team for burning the midnight oil in preparation for the case.
