Early Life

Red Bryant was born on April 18, 1984, in Jasper. He later attended Texas A&M University, where he played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies football.

His role remained limited in the 2009 season, but a major change came during the 2010 offseason when he was moved to defensive end. That season was interrupted by injuries, causing him to miss more than half of the games and eventually land on injured reserve.

Bryant’s performance improved in 2011, when he blocked four kicks, setting a Seahawks franchise single-season record. He also returned an interception for a touchdown in a game against the Chicago Bears.

In 2012, Bryant re-signed with the Seahawks on a five-year contract worth $35 million, solidifying his place as a key player on the team’s defense.
