The family Augustine Salaton, son to former Minister, Julius Sunkuli, carried out a three-hour autopsy on the late Salaton on Thursday at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary.

Post mortem reports revealed that Mr Salaton was tortured and hit with a blunt object at the back of his head before he was run over by a vehicle, causing his death.

Family spokesperson Andrew Sunkuli noted that his assailants had gone the extra mile to try and cover up the murder. “The postmortem results are an indication that my nephew Salaton was killed by people we do not know by who and for what reasons.” he said.

Salaton’s body was found dumped at a parking lot in Kilgoris, Narok County after being reported missing for two weeks by his family.

Former Minister, Julius Sunkuli and his brother Charles Sunkuli, who is the Environment Principal secretary, demanded the police to launch investigations into the matter.
