    Siblings

Robby has one older brother named Lenny Fabbri, who has played a pivotal role in his hockey development.

Robby has frequently credited Lenny as the most influential person in his hockey career, noting that he started playing the sport because of his brother.

The two brothers share a very close bond, with similar skill sets and a mutual support system that their parents, Len and Stefani Fabbri, actively fostered.

    Career

Fabbri’s hockey journey began in Mississauga, where he followed his older brother into the sport and quickly stood out.

He played junior hockey with the Guelph Storm in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), enjoying a standout career that included leading the team to an OHL championship.

After being drafted by the St. Louis Blues, he turned professional in 2015 and made his NHL debut that season.

He spent several years with the Blues organization, splitting time between the NHL and AHL affiliates like the Chicago Wolves.

In 2019, Fabbri was part of the St. Louis Blues team that captured the Stanley Cup.

He was later traded to the Detroit Red Wings in November 2019, where he played a significant portion of his career and became a familiar face in the lineup despite dealing with injuries at times.

He also had a brief stint with the Anaheim Ducks before signing with the Minnesota Wild.

Throughout his NHL tenure, which now spans over 450 games, Fabbri has shown offensive instincts and the ability to contribute on special teams while battling through physical play.

    Accolades

In junior hockey, Fabbri earned the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award as OHL Playoff MVP in 2014 after posting impressive numbers and helping the Guelph Storm win the OHL title and reach the Memorial Cup final.

He also won gold with Team Canada at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Additional junior honors include the Lou Embro Memorial Award, recognition as Rookie of the Year, and other team-specific accolades with the Guelph Storm.
