Ruto, CJ Koome and CSs Announce Fresh Govt Appointments

President William Ruto has made several new appointments to state agencies and commissions, according to a Gazette notice dated April 30, 2026.
The President appointed Ngeny Biwott as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of the Kenya National Accreditation Service for a three-year term. He also named Moses Cheboi, Peter Ereri Nyaga and Mueni Kalola as Commissioners of the Advocates Complaints Commission, also for three years.
Chief Justice Martha Koome appointed Anne Wambui Nderu as Chairperson of the Public Benefit Organizations Disputes Tribunal. Other members named to the tribunal include Christabel Mideva Eboso, George Robert Asew, Thomas Katua Ngui and Janerose Kaithi Mutegi-Kibaara, all serving three-year terms.
Koome also appointed Carolyne Mbok as Chairperson of the HIV and AIDS Tribunal. The tribunal members include Nelson Wanyonyi Osiemo, Dr Irene Njahira Muku, Dr Solomon Musani and Jane Ngoiri Nganda.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen appointed Gilbert Benjamin Kitiyo as Principal Registrar with effect from January 14, 2026, and revoked the appointment of Dr Christopher K. Wanjau from the same position.
In the regional development docket, Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Askul Moe reappointed Dr Nkaesha Naikuni as a member of the Ewaso Ng’iro South River Basin Development Authority for three years, and appointed William Oloishuro Larus to the same board.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba reappointed Dr Ondongo Sylus Were to the Kitale National Polytechnic Council. He also reappointed Sharon Sabato and Marwa Stephen Muniko as members of the Kisii National Polytechnic Council, and appointed Santino Ocharo Ratemo as chairperson alongside Jackline Mumbi Gitund as a member.
Additionally, Ogamba reappointed Vitalis Wekesa Sikuku and Phoebe Mumbua Mutua to the Sigalagala National Polytechnic Council. He also appointed Genevieve Atamba Mwayuli as chairperson and Victor Keraro Nyarangi as a member of the same council.
Meanwhile, Defence Cabinet Secretary Roselinda Soipan Tuya revoked the appointment of Millicent Nyaboke Omanga as a member of the Board of Directors of Kenya Shipyards Limited, with effect from April 30, 2026.
