Ruto, CSs Make Fresh State Appointments

President William Ruto and several Cabinet Secretaries have made a series of appointments and reappointments to various government boards and agencies.
In a Gazette Notice dated June 5, 2026, President Ruto appointed former Isiolo South MP Abdul Bahari Ali as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of the Konza Technopolis Development Authority for a three-year term.
Bahari, a member of the Kenya African National Union (KANU), previously served as the Member of Parliament for Isiolo South after winning the seat in the 2007 General Election.
In the health sector, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale appointed Dr. Khatra Ali Abdi and Dr. Angeline Chepchirchir as members of the Board of the Social Health Authority (SHA).
Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua appointed Samuel Biringi Mayaka as a member of the National Industrial Training Board.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba appointed George Ndung’u Thuku as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Council of Kiambu National Polytechnic.
Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho appointed Ali Abdalla Mondo as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Maritime Authority.
East African Community, ASALs and Regional Development Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Askul Moe reappointed Justina Chepnyango, Reuben Chepsongol, Rosemary Nchinyei Parengiro, Christine Jepkoech, Ambassador John Lanyasunya, Shadrack Kiptugen and Simon Kalekem as members of the Kerio Valley Development Authority Board.
She also appointed Aden Sugow Ahmed, Lina Adikento Marleni and Melus Lodungokiok as members of the Ewaso Ng’iro North River Basin Development Authority.
Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eric Muriithi appointed Mbarak Hamid as a member of the Board of Directors of the Coast Water Works Development Agency.
Meanwhile, Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya appointed Carl Tundo as the Chief Executive Officer of the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally Project and Secretary to the project’s Oversight Team.
Tundo replaces Charles Gacheru, whose appointment was revoked through the latest gazette notice.
