Santiago Tomás Giménez Zolotarchuk is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club AC Milan.

Born on April 18, 2001, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he moved to Mexico at a young age and represents the Mexico national team internationally.

He is widely regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in world football, known for his clinical finishing, physical presence, and goal-scoring instinct.

Despite his Argentine birth, Giménez has embraced Mexican culture and identity, having spent most of his life there following his father’s football career.

    Siblings

Santiago grew up in a close-knit family with one known sibling, his sister Agustina Giménez.

The two have shared lighthearted moments publicly, including social media videos where Agustina seeks advice from her brother in a playful manner.

    Career

Giménez’s football journey began at Cruz Azul in Mexico, the club where his father Christian “Chaco” Giménez had also played.

He made his senior debut at just 16 years old in 2017, even appearing in a friendly match alongside his father.

After progressing through the youth ranks and becoming a key first-team player, he contributed significantly to Cruz Azul’s successes, including helping end a long league title drought.

In 2022, Giménez transferred to Feyenoord in the Netherlands, where he quickly established himself as a prolific scorer.

He played a major role in the club’s Eredivisie title win, KNVB Cup victory, and other honors, consistently delivering impressive goal tallies in both domestic and European competitions.

His performances attracted attention from top European clubs, leading to his move to AC Milan in early 2025 for a substantial transfer fee.

At Milan, he continues to develop as a top striker in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues.

Internationally, Giménez chose to represent Mexico over Argentina.

He has become a cornerstone of the national team, notably scoring the winning goal in the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup final and contributing to further tournament successes.

    Accolades

Throughout his career, Giménez has amassed an impressive collection of team and individual honors.

With Cruz Azul, he won the Liga MX title, multiple Copa MX trophies, Supercopa MX, Campeón de Campeones, and Leagues Cup honors.

At Feyenoord, he added the Eredivisie championship, KNVB Cup, and Dutch Super Cup to his resume.

On the international stage with Mexico, he has secured CONCACAF Gold Cup titles and other regional accolades.
