Sarah Roemer, born on August 28, 1984, in San Diego, California, is an American actress and model known for her work in both film and television.
Discovered at age 15 by a modeling agency while at a 7-Eleven, she began her career in the fashion industry before transitioning to acting.
Roemer’s journey from a Southern California native to a Hollywood actress reflects her versatility and determination.
Of German, English, Scottish, and Northern Irish descent, she attended Horizon Junior and Senior High School but left at 15 to pursue modeling, eventually moving to New York at 17 to further her career.
Her early modeling work included features in prominent magazines such as GQ, Cosmopolitan, Maxim, Esquire, and Nylon Guys, as well as a cover for Sportswear International in 2004.
Roemer’s shift to acting came after a chance encounter with an agent in 2005, leading to a career that spans horror, drama, comedy, and television roles.

Sarah has three siblings, namely Patrick Hunter Roemer, Matthew Bennett Roemer, and Grace Elizabeth Roemer.

Career
Roemer’s career began with modeling after being scouted at a young age, leading to work with ID Model Management in New York and appearances in major publications.
Her acting debut came in 2006 with a role in the indie film Wristcutters: A Love Story, followed by her portrayal of Lacey Kimble, a high school cheerleader, in the horror film The Grudge 2.
The latter, despite mixed reviews, was a commercial success, grossing over $70 million worldwide.
In 2007, Roemer gained wider recognition as Ashley Carlson in the thriller Disturbia, opposite Shia LaBeouf, a film that earned $117.8 million against a $20 million budget and received positive critical reception.
That same year, she appeared in the short film Cutlass, directed by Kate Hudson, alongside Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart.
Her film roles expanded with the 2008 horror film Asylum, the 2009 comedy Fired Up!, and the drama Hachi: A Dog’s Tale, where she played Andy Wilson alongside Richard Gere.
Roemer also took on lead roles in independent films like Waking Madison and The Con Artist in 2010, and served as an associate producer for Locked In.
On television, she starred as Leila Buchanan in the 2010 NBC series The Event and as Avery Sharp in the Crackle series Chosen from 2013 to 2014, where she met her husband.
Additional TV credits include guest spots on Hawaii Five-0 and Daybreak, with her most recent film role in Survive the Game in 2021 alongside Murray and Bruce Willis.
