    ‘Save My Dear For The Bedroom,’ Witness Told In Kisumu Court As He Is Detained For A While

    witnessA witness in Kisumu law courts was sent to the cell for referring to an advocate as my dear. The Judge interjected him as he was testifying in a case filed by Jack Ranguma against governor Anyang Nyong’o.

    The witness was asked by lawyer Julie Soweto why he did not include information which he was stating in his written affidavit.

    He replied, “I need not put everything I hear, my dear.”

    The judge told him to to apologize which he did.The judge asked him if he knew why he was apologizing, He told the judge he apologized because he was asked to.

    The judge ordered that he be detained for contempt of court.The judge told his lawyer that his client should differentiate bedroom language from the language used in court. The lawyer said that he had explained to his client his mistake.

    The witness was told that we live in an era where women are respected and that he should save his  term ‘my dear’ for his bedroom.

    The witness apologized again after he returned to the witness stand.
