As of November, Silverstone Air Services will be offering its customers direct flights between Kisumu and Mombasa.
The announcement follows the launch of commercial flights from Nairobi to Kisumu and Ukunda on Tuesday.
According to Silverstone Air managing director Mohamed Somow a one way ticket between Kisumu and Mombasa will cost approximately Sh10,000.

For passengers flying between Kisumu and Mombasa there will be a stop-over in Nairobi.
“By November we will doing flights to Malindi, HomaBay and Lamu. We will also be looking to do direct flights between Kisumu and Mombasa,” said Sumow.
“Our research in the market has shown there is demand for the direct service between the two cities.”
Passengers will also be charged Sh9,000 for a return ticket from Nairobi to Kisumu and Ukunda. They will offer two return trips per day to Kisumu and a daily return flight to Ukunda.
Silverstone Air is a affiliate of Skyward Express which also offers flights between Nairobi, Mombasa, Lamu, Malindi, Eldoret, Lodwar, Wajir and Mandera.
The rise in demand comes as a result of more Kenyans opting to fly.
