Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko was on Thursday caught on tape making somewhat inflammatory remarks.

The gubernatorial candidate on a Jubilee ticket was addressing the crowd at Zimmerman where he was campaigning on his own behalf and that of the president.

The vocal legislator was heard asking the people to stone NASA leaders should they tour the area. He was referencing the incident that took place in Kisumu where the deputy president was booed by rowdy youth.

The NASA presidential flag bearer, Raila Odinga was on Thursday heckled and stones thrown at his motorcade during his tour to Murang’a county.

These incidences of intolerance have become rampant raising tension ahead of the August general election which is 23 days away and still no Presidential ballot papers.

”Mimi ningependa kuwaambia wajipange. Tuko na polisi, tuko na wanajeshi…Tukiwa hapa kwetu tuwapige mawe…mliona wale walitupia Rais mawe kule Kisumu?’’ Mike told Zimmerman residents.
He will be going up against the incumbent Evans Kidero, Miguna Miguna and Peter Kenneth among others for the governor’s seat.
