Career

Clark began acting at a young age, making his television debut in the mid-1990s with a role on the soap opera Another World.

He transitioned to feature films in the late 1990s, appearing in Arlington Road (1999) alongside Jeff Bridges.

His breakthrough year came in 2000 when he played the young Lucius Verus in Ridley Scott’s Oscar-winning epic Gladiator opposite Russell Crowe and the late Oliver Reed, and portrayed Joseph Dunn, the son of Bruce Willis’s character, in M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable.

He continued with notable supporting roles in films such as Mystic River (2003) directed by Clint Eastwood, the horror remake The Last House on the Left (2009), Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing (2012), and the Unbreakable sequel Glass (2019).

On television, Clark had recurring parts in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Werner von Strucker and a prominent role as Adrian Dolan in the TNT series Animal Kingdom from 2016 to 2019.

He also appeared in the 2024 adaptation of Salem’s Lot.

Accolades

As a child actor, Clark earned multiple Young Artist Award nominations, including for his work on Another World and his feature film debut in Gladiator.

He received a Blockbuster Entertainment Award nomination for Unbreakable and a Fright Meter Award nomination for his role in The Last House on the Left.
