Supersport Donates a Revamped Website to Kenya Premier League

South Africa’s sports pay-TV channel, SuperSport, has set up a new website for the Kenyan Premier League. The website is such an indictment on the management of sports in Kenya where all the support and innovative ideas have been borrowed from elsewhere and imposed on them.

The website which features national colours is one of the latest efforts by the South African Pay-TV channel to support the Kenyan football development. Already the site has great news, fixtures, results and column by football greats like Bob Munro. The site also has a video and photo gallery from different matches.

Packaged together with the main site is a mobi site which pans out well on a mobile phone to improve access especially during games.  A source at KPL indicates that KPL will provide content but multichoice will exclusively run the website making sure that competitors and unauthorised partners don’t get published on the website.

The move by Supersport to develop such a platform for a Kenyan entity is such a BIG indictment on the Kenyan techies. It is so so embarassing.
