Taxi Hailing Apps Uber, Little Looking To Expand To Rwanda

Taxi hailing apps, Uber and Little are looking to expand their networks in Rwanda.

Uber has expressed interests to expand to Rwanda through the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Agency (RURA).

RURA confirmed that Uber has approached them and were given a list of requirements needed in order to get a licence.

One Uber meets all the requirements they will get a licence to start operation.

The country already has other taxi hailing apps such as Taxi Rwa and Yego cabs which offer both taxi and motorbike services.

Other apps who are in the process of licensing include Little, Jquicker and Panda.

Uber already has operations in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
