Teo Briones, born Mateo Justis Briones on January 11, 2005, in Oxford, England, entered the world during his parents’ international theater tour.
As a British-American actor of Filipino descent, Teo embodies a multicultural heritage shaped by his Filipino father, renowned actor and singer Jon Jon Briones, and his American mother, actress and singer Megan Johnson Briones.
The family relocated to Los Angeles when Teo was just three years old, immersing him early in the vibrant world of show business.
By age five, he had already begun his professional journey as a model and actor, quickly establishing himself as a versatile talent.

Teo has one sister, Isa Briones, who is six years his senior, having been born on January 17, 1999, also in London, England.
Like Teo, Isa was drawn into the family’s artistic legacy from a young age, beginning her career as a model in New York City at just three years old before transitioning to acting in feature films and stage productions by 2008.
Isa gained widespread recognition for her starring roles in the CBS/Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard (2020–2022), where she portrayed the android twins Dahj and Soji Asha, as well as Kore Soong, earning praise for her emotional depth in sci-fi narratives.

Career
Teo’s acting debut came early, with voice work as Carlos in the animated series Doc McStuffins (2012–2015), introducing him to younger audiences through wholesome storytelling.

Transitioning to live-action, Teo landed a recurring role as Malcolm Cutler in the popular teen drama Pretty Little Liars (2013), appearing in episodes like Out of Sight, Out of Mind alongside stars such as Lucy Hale and Ian Harding, where he portrayed a young boy entangled in the show’s signature mysteries.
This exposure paved the way for his film breakthrough in Taylor Sheridan’s critically acclaimed crime thriller Wind River (2017), in which he played Casey Lambert, the grieving son of a murder victim on a Wyoming reservation, sharing scenes with heavyweights like Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen and earning notice for his poignant performance amid the film’s exploration of indigenous injustices.
Building on this momentum, Teo delved into diverse genres, starring as Will Jin in the sci-fi web series Will Vs. The Future (2017), a role that showcased his affinity for imaginative, tech-driven narratives.
He continued with guest spots, including Timmy Bernardi on the long-running soap Days of Our Lives (2019), adding daytime drama to his resume.
A significant milestone came with Netflix’s Ratched (2020), where he portrayed the young Peter, the son of Nurse Mildred Ratched (played by Sarah Paulson), opposite his real-life father Jon Jon Briones, who depicted the adult version of the character; this familial collaboration brought emotional authenticity to the prequel series inspired by One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
Teo’s horror credentials solidified with his lead role as Junior Wheeler in the first season of SYFY/USA’s Chucky (2021), the hit TV adaptation of the killer doll franchise, where he navigated themes of adolescence, identity, and supernatural terror, drawing from his martial arts background for intense action sequences.
In recent years, Teo has expanded into action and franchise territory, appearing in the sci-fi films Agent Revelation (2021) and Agent Recon (2024), both directed by Derek Ting, which thrust him into high-stakes espionage plots.
His most anticipated project to date is Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025), the sixth installment in the beloved horror series, where he stars as Charlie Reyes, a Filipino-American teen evading death’s elaborate traps alongside co-star Kaitlyn Santa Juana as his on-screen sister; Teo has expressed enthusiasm for the role, citing his personal fandom of the franchise and its meta-commentary on fate.
Looking ahead, he is set to appear in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (2025), further cementing his status in the horror genre.
