The last of the 11 black Rhinos that had been translocated to Tsavo National park has died.
The Kenya wild life service communications boss Paul Udot confirmed that the rhino died after succumbing to injuries from a lion attack.
The Kenya wildlife service has been under fire following the decision to translocate the rhinos from the Nairobi and Nakuru national parks. ten of the rhinos had died as a result of taking salty water which they were not accustomed to.
The Cabinet secretary for tourism Najib Balala has withdrawn himself from the decision to translocation terming his presence during the said event was only ceremonial.

Tourism CS Najib Balala has following the death interdicted 6 Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officials accusing them of being careless.
The CS has also noted that the deaths could have also been caused by weather and environmental conditions which were not taken into consideration when relocating the rhinos.
The former board chairman of the Kenya Wildlife Services Dr. Richard Leakey however blamed the CS Tourism Najib Balala for supporting the translocation which the board had declined for the past three years.
