Tuju Likens NASA MPs Parliament Boycott To ‘Political Conmanship,’ Says They Are Cowards With Big Stomachs

Jubilee has criticized NASA’s latest move to boycott Parliamentary sessions that commenced on Wednesday.

Party Secretary General, Raphael Tuju has said the opposition is showcasing ‘hypocrisy and political conmanship’ for holding parliamentary group meeting yet do not recognise Parliament and are on a payroll.

“It is even more hypocritical that they would boycott…conducting their legislative duties and claim it is a matter of principle yet they took oath of office to ensure they get into the payroll,” he said.

He dared the opposition legislators to miss eight consecutive sittings and risk losing their seats.

“If this is not a case of just having a big stomach and no backbone, then they should miss eight consecutive sitting so their seats may be declared vacant.”

Tuju further reproached the opposition’s threat to skip the October election noting that Kenyans should not be duped into funding a party that might not be a part of the election.

“It is hypocritical for NASA to threaten to boycott elections then proceed to collect millions of shillings from Kenyans. Taxpayers should not be made to pay for an election in which NASA has explicitly said it will not participate.”

NASA has threatened to skip the fresh presidential polls if IEBC does not meet its demands that include getting rid of CEO Ezra Chiloba.

Tuju has however advised that the opposition follows the rule of law.
