TVETA Advertises CEO/Director-General Position

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) has advertised the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Director-General.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, TVETA invited qualified candidates to apply for the top position, which carries a five-year contract renewable for one further term of five years upon the recommendation of the Board.

According to the authority, the Director-General will serve as the chief executive officer and oversee the day-to-day management of the institution.

“Director-General shall be the chief executive officer of the Authority and shall, subject to the directions of the Board, be responsible for the day-to-day management of the affairs of the Authority,” the notice reads.

TVETA said applicants must have served in the grade of Director for a minimum period of three years or held a comparable position in the Public Service.

Interested candidates have been directed to submit a detailed application letter, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, a copy of their national identity card, and an updated curriculum vitae (CV).

The authority stated that applications may be submitted either physically or electronically and should be clearly referenced “Application for the Position of Director General/CEO.”

TVETA said all applications must reach the Office of the Chairperson on or before Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. East African Time.

The recruitment comes as the authority continues to be led by Acting Director-General and CEO Timothy Nyongesa Katiambo.
