Two ‘Confirm’ Gang Members Arrested in Nakuru West in Crackdown on Criminal Syndicate

Arrested

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested two suspected members of the notorious “Confirm” gang in Nakuru West, in an intelligence-led operation that authorities say has disrupted a string of violent crimes in the area.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the DCI said officers based at Rhonda Police Station arrested John Omondi, alias “Daddy,” and Samuel Kamau, alias “Pino,” after acting on a tip-off from members of the public.

The two were allegedly apprehended while terrorising and robbing residents, bringing to an end what investigators described as a sustained wave of violent robberies linked to the gang.

Police said the suspects, who had evaded arrest for an extended period, were taken into custody during the operation and are currently being processed as investigations continue.

Preliminary findings indicate that the duo is linked to the Confirm gang, a criminal syndicate accused of instilling fear among residents of Nakuru West through a series of violent incidents. They are also being investigated in connection with serious offences, including murder and robbery with violence.

The arrests come shortly after another suspected accomplice, identified as James Nduati, alias “Jemu,” was also detained in connection with the same gang activities.

“The suspects are currently being processed as detectives tighten the noose, ensuring a watertight case before they are arraigned in court,” the DCI said.

The National Police Service reiterated its commitment to dismantling organised criminal networks across the country through intelligence-driven operations and community cooperation.
