    Two people found dead after drowning incidents in Nakuru

    Two people, including a four-year-old boy were found dead after separate drowning incidents in Nakuru County.

    Police said they are investigating the incidents reported on Monday November 10, 2025. The first incident happened in Koyomtich village, Menengai area on Molo River.

    The body was retrieved and locals said it belonged to a local, a casual labourer who had been residing in an unfinished building a few meters from the scene.

    It is not clear how and why he drowned.

    The body which had decomposed was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    Meanwhile, police are investigating an incident where a four-year-old boy was found dead after a drowning incident in Mau Narok, Nakuru County.

    The boy was reported missing on November 11, 2025 in the area. His body was on Tuesday November 12, 2025 found drowned in a pool of water in a swamp in a neighbour’s farm.

    The swamp used to be a fish pond and has been lying unattended, police said.

    The boy is believed to have strayed to the area and drowned. Police said they are investigating the incident as the body was moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.

    And police are investigating an incident where a man was killed by a speeding train in Tassia area, Nairobi.

    The body of Amos Makokha, 40 was found on the railway line after he had been fatally hit by a train that was headed for the city centre from the Embakasi area. Witnesses said the deceased was walking besides the railway line when he was hit and dragged for a few meters sustaining serious head injuries. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mama Lucy Hospital, police said of the Tuesday incident.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Such accidents have been common on the railway line amid campaigns to address the trend. The Kenya Railways blame the victims for their deaths.
