    Two Suspects Charged For Selling Elephant Tusks

    Two suspects, Wambua Muia and David Mutua were yesterday arrested and taken to at Emali police station after they were found with elephant tusks weighing 32 kilograms, worth 3.2 million shillings.

    The two appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate, Damaris Karani at Makindu Law Courts  where they pleaded not guilty to the charges.

    They were caught by Kenya Wildlife Service Officers who posed as buyers after they were tipped off that there was someone selling elephant tusks.

    Both suspects have been remanded at Emali police station as they await a court ruling on an application for their release on May 22.
