uhuru parkNASA will have to go shopping for another venue to swear in their leaders; Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka on January 30, 2018.

The Nation reports that there are requests from a church and the Nairobi Business Community.

The business community according to its chairperson, Wilfred Kamau will make the requisite fee today (Monday).

Mr Kamau said that the county government had given them the go-ahead to hold a free medical camp targeting street boys who would like to get circumcised on the said date.

”We have written to the county government and we are actually supposed to pay Sh250,000 for the venue tomorrow, January 22. Nasa will have to get another ground if they have an event the same day. We are using Uhuru Park that day,” he said.

NASA leaders have maintained that the swearing in ceremony will take place as planned but would like the Jubilee government to embrace dialogue on matters electoral reforms.

Speaking in Mombasa at Uhuru Gardens during the People’s Assembly meeting the former prime minister accused the Jubilee government of trying to take the country back to the dark days of dictatorship.

”Kenyans should reject Uhuru and Ruto’s bid to take the country back. They want to take us back to Egypt. That is why we said we want to go to Canaan,” he said.

Also present was Kalonzo, who asked foreign envoys to stop meddling in Kenya’s affairs.

”The American ambassador should first bring together their Government which is facing a shutdown. The Americans are demonstrating each day because of lack of faith in it. People worldwide are crying for freedom, truth, justice and mutual communication,” he said.

He also warned that the country could be headed for a civil war should the President not reach out to Odinga in the next week.

NASA will hold rallies in Narok, Migori and Kisii before the oath taking ceremony.
