UK Based Kenyan Singer Mistony Denied Access To Local TV Station For Being Skimpily Clad

UK based Kenyan singer  Mistony is angry after being denied access to a local TV statition for being skimpily dressed. She told Edaily that the security men at the entrance asked her to tie a leso before being allowed access to the station.

Angered by the remarks of the Security officer, the UK based artist decided to ditch the interview in protest.

Mistony said that she felt humiliated by the security officers saying that she respects her self and her dressing did not have any ill  motives. She said that other stations had allowed her into their stations and asked that the officers embrace modern culture.

“I was well dressed, and I think it is time we start embracing modern culture. Above all, I am an artist; and media houses know that better. I felt humiliated,” she narrated.

This comes in the wake of singer Akothee creating an online buzz after a show where  Kenyans were angered by her raunchy dance moves and skimpy clothing during the performance.

Kenya Films and Classifications Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Mutua  issued a stern warning against artists engaging in sexual explicit performances.

According to Dr Mutua, KFCB will take stern measures against artists keen to promote “obscene activities akin to porn”.
