    US Urges Citizens In Nairobi, Coastal Regions To Stay Vigilant, Extremists May Be Planning Attack

    The US Embassy has issued a statement warning Kenyans to be vigilant as extremists were still planning attacks against Westerners.

    The Embassy has warned people in Nairobi, Naivasha, Nanyuki and the coastal regions urging them to be vigilant especially around public places.

    Westerners have been advised to beware of their surroundings, carefully consider visiting locations frequented by tourists/Westerners, monitor local media, have travel documents up to date and easily accessible and Review your personal security plans.

    The US Embassy have advised American citizens to enroll on Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security messages and make it easier for them to be  located in case of an emergency.
