The governor went against the advise by the auditor general that termed the land at the cost of Sh23.9 million as too expensive.

The governor has given the contractor a June 30 deadline in a bid to beat the deadline when the house allowances for governors , deputy governors and speakers  would be scrapped out.

This is after salaries and remuneration commission issued circulars stating that houses for the governors should be completed by June 30.
