Viktor Király is a Hungarian-American singer and songwriter born on March 29, 1984, in New York City to Hungarian immigrant parents, Tamás and Gabriella Király.
His family has deep roots in music, with both parents having performed together in a band during the 1970s—his father as a drummer and his mother as a backing vocalist.

Viktor has an identical twin brother named Benjamin Király, with whom he formed the band Twinz in 2006.

Additionally, Viktor is the younger brother of Linda Király, a well-known Hungarian-American pop singer who achieved success with multiple hits on the Hungarian charts (Mahasz Top 40) and released music in the US and UK.

Career
Király’s professional journey began in earnest in 2006 when he and his twin brother Benjamin launched the band Twinz, marking his entry into the Hungarian music industry.
His breakthrough came in 2008 when he won the fourth season of Megasztár, Hungary’s popular television talent competition akin to Pop Idol.
This victory launched his solo career, leading to the release of a live album in 2009 featuring his performances from the show, titled Király Viktor: A döntőben elhangzott dalok, followed by his self-titled debut studio album Király Viktor the same year, which reached number 9 on the MAHASZ Top 40 albums chart.
Over the years, he released further albums such as Solo and Third Dimension, and his singles like “Fire” and “Álmodd meg a csodát!” gained popularity.
Király also competed in Hungary’s Eurovision selection process A Dal in 2012 and 2014, though he did not advance to represent the country.
In 2015, he gained international exposure by competing on season 9 of the American show The Voice, where he reached the Top 24 before elimination during the Live Playoffs.
He has served as a mentor and jury member on Hungarian talent programs like Az ének iskolája between 2013 and 2014, further establishing his influence in the industry.
