Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama keeps getting playtime at Tottenham Hotspur since shacking off a nagging knee injury.
This is good news for the country ahead of the 2019 Afcon set for Egypt from 21st June to 19th July. The draw for the continental showpiece will take place this coming Friday.
Wanyama was a second half substitute in Spurs’ 1-0 win over Premier League rivals Man City in a Champions League quarter-finals match on Tuesday night.
The former Celtic FC midfielder substituted Harry Winks in the 81st minute as the Londoners held on to Sonny’s 79th minute to seal the slim win ahead of the return leg next week away.

Spurs’ boss Mauricio Puchettino said: “We were so aggressive and very clever in the way that we played.”
Wanyama is expected to lead Kenya’s return to the Afcon for the first time in 15 years.
