Lady Gaga Cancels Montreal Show Amid Respiratory Infection

WHY Lady Gaga Canceled Montreal Show

Lady Gaga has canceled a scheduled concert in Canada, telling fans she “truly could not feel worse” after being forced to step back due to a serious respiratory infection.

The global pop star shared the news via Instagram Stories on Monday, confirming she would not perform her third and final show at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

“I’m so sorry to share that I’m unable to perform tonight and have to cancel the show,” Gaga wrote, explaining that she had been battling a respiratory illness for several days. “I’ve been fighting a respiratory infection… but it’s gotten worse.”

The 16-time Grammy winner added that medical advice played a key role in her decision. “My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today, and I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance you deserve,” she said.

Gaga acknowledged the disappointment felt by fans, saying she was “deeply sorry” to those who had planned to attend. “I’m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me,” she added, describing her previous Montreal performances as “magical and deeply meaningful.”

The canceled show was part of her ongoing Mayhem Ball Tour, launched following the release of her seventh studio album, Mayhem. The tour marks her first arena run since 2018, with the singer aiming to deliver a more intimate and theatrical live experience.

Despite the setback, Gaga is expected to resume performances later this week, with upcoming shows scheduled in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and a final stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The cancellation in Montreal follows a similar incident in 2025, when the “Poker Face” hitmaker was forced to call off a Miami performance on the same tour.
