Ex Kakamega District Commissioner Paul Yatich’s estranged wife was on Tuesday found dead in her house at Kiplombe, Eldoret County.
Loice Barsibet Yatich was reported missing by Mr Yatich after “vain attempts to reach her on the phone.”
The curriculum support development officer is believed to have been sexually harassed before her killer(s) took her life.
“The body had serious cuts on the shoulder. We also suspect she was raped during the attack,” Eldoret West OCPD Zachary Bitok said.
Her body was partly decomposed when the officers found her. A man who worked at the home is believed to have had a hand in her death.
“Yatich accompanied us to Loice’s house where we found the decomposing body after breaking in through a window,” Bitok added.
The unnamed man reportedly disappeared shortly after the ordeal which the police say could have taken place on Saturday.

The deceased’s car was also recovered in Kabiyet, Nandi county.
It is not yet clear if the killer(s) took money or valuables from her house.
The police have dusted the house as they seek to bring the perpetrators to book.
