    fifa awardsAfter months of voting football fans across the globe were finally able to watch the FIFA Best Awards 2017 Ceremony unfold.

    The event which took place at the London Palladium in England Tuesday evening, October 23 and was the second of its kind following the ceremonies split from the France Football’s Ballon D’or.

    The host of the night was Idris Elba and the ceremony showcased a variety of stars in the British movie and music industry.

    The ceremony also showcased a variety of global talent from both men and women’s football.

    The award ceremony held stiff competition from elite athlete’s in each of their respective categories. Coaches, players and fans all took part in the voting for the FIFA 2017 Best.

    Winners of the prestigious FIFA 2017 awards included:

    Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid/Portugal) Best Fifa Men’s Player

    Lieke Martens (Barcelona/Nethrerlands) Best Fifa Women’s Player

    Olivier Giroud (Arsenal/France) Puskas Award for best goal

    Sarina Weigman (Netherlands) Best Fifa Women’s Coach

    Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid/France) Best Fifa Male Coach

    Gigi Buffon (Juventus/Italy) Best Fifa Goalkeeper

    Francis Kone (FC Zbrojovka Brno/Togo) Fifa Fair Play Award

    Celtic FC (Scotland) Fifa Fan Award

    FIFA World XI: Gigi Buffon (Juventus), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Dani Alves (Paris St. Germain); Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid); Neymar Jr (Paris St. Germain) , Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Lionel Messi (Barcelona).

    Football Legends Diego Maradona, Ronaldo Luiz Nazario were also in attendance.
