A 40-year-old woman was found murdered in her compound after a domestic dispute in Illeret village, Marsabit County.
Police identified her as Rufo Lorus. The body had visible injuries on the head when it was discovered in her manyatta.
Police said she had been missing for a day before the body was discovered. Her husband was later arrested as a person of interest in the murder pending further probe, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
In Kathwana, Machakos County, one Jerom Matheka was found dead in a house after a feud between him an assailant who was arrested.
The deceased was a spanner boy while the assailant was a mechanic.
They fought in the house before the assailant stabbed Matheka in the chest fatally.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy while the assailant was expected in court to face murder charges, police said.
Elsewhere in Ahero, Kisumu County, a suspect surrendered to the police over a murder incident.
The suspect was linked to the murder of Joshua Orera, 51 in the area on Saturday. The suspect surrendered to Katitu police station pending processing. The body of the victim was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures, police said.
In Yala, Siaya County, a man died after being attacked by cattle thieves. Police said David Demba, 53 succumbed to his injuries he sustained while pursuing a gang of thieves that had raided their home and stole cows in Sidada village.
Police said they are pursuing the assailants.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Homa Bay’s Mbita area, the body of a man was found in a thicket in Gera village after a suspected murder.
The victim’s both hands and left leg were missing. Police suspect they were mauled by wild animals. The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
In Kehancha, Migori County, one Mara Wankanda, 47 was killed by unknown assailants in an attack.
Police said the Saturday night incident happened in the Masaba area and the motive of the same is yet to be established.

Murder incidents are on the rise amid efforts to solve the trend.
