Angela Mwihaki, a city woman has been accused of being unfaithful to her husband, Joel Gachanja, after sleeping with 35 known men in their four years of marriage.

Ms Mwihaki filed a divorce case on February 21, five days after leaving their matrimonial home on February 16.

In her divorce case, Ms Mwihaki accused Gachanja of cruelty and irreconcilable differences.

“The defendant is a man of pregnant imagination constantly accusing me of cheating and having extramarital affairs. The constant acrimony between the parties mainly caused by unfounded insecurities on the part of the defendant,” says Ms Mwihaki in court papers.

However, in a defence affidavit, Gachanja says that Ms Mwihaki has slept with a total of 35 men in the four years of marriage, claims which she does not deny.

In the list, Gachanja accuses the woman of sleeping with her former bosses, a Kenyan international rugby player, a renowned rugby heckler, a sports television anchor, her paediatrician, basketballers (3), a thespian, a former comedian, club DJs (2), a church member, a makanga, nine workmates and 19 boyfriends.

The list also includes her sister’s husband and his two friends and an Indian guy.

Ms Mwihaki also offered sex to a prisoner in Kamiti, whom they met online.

The affidavit has also pictorial evidence of nudes and incriminating WhatsApp conversations his wife shared with several men, whom she has bedded.

“(She) lost her chastity, honour, integrity, and prestige of a married woman and lowered herself by randomly flirting with her social media contacts and even sending suggestive and nude pictures and erotica content for momentary thrills,” avers Gachanja.

Gachanja has also attached a confession in which the wife confessed each and every sexual encounter, how the affairs started (with the name of every man), whether protection was used or not, and the locations the sex took place.

“Some of these affairs were meant to meet her materialistic ambition and quest to climb the corporate ladder with whoever she found on her path to sleep with, and who will assist in her quest in advancement…at times, the petitioner would come home late way past midnight and upon being asked about her whereabouts, she becomes hysterical and at one point she confessed to having been on a date with her child’s paediatrician among her many suitors,” says Gachanja.

On the material day she left their home in Redhill, Ms Mwihaki says she was thrown out by her “violent” husband.

“On the 16 February 2019, the defendant ordered the plaintiff to remove her belongings from the matrimonial home and locked her out of the matrimonial home. The plaintiff is apprehensive of the defendant who has a history of violence, destruction of property, arson, an ill temper and foul mouth for her own safety and that of the children decided to vacate the matrimonial home to seek a safe haven. I swear by this affidavit that I am hiding both in fear of my life and the lives of my children due to the violent nature of the defendant,” she avers.

The woman is now demanding a monthly rent of Ksh130,000, electricity Ksh5000, medical Ksh5000, education fund Ksh10,000, security Ksh10,000, gas Ksh2,500, house help Ksh18,000 water Ksh5,000, food per month Ksh50,000, school fees and transport Ksh160,000 clothing Ksh5,000 entertainment Ksh30,000.

For the time being, she wants Gachanja to pay Ksh215, 000 every month pending the determination of the case.
