Woman stabbed and killed in fight with boyfriend in Kayole

A 23-year-old woman was found dead in her bed after a domestic fight with her boyfriend in Kayole, Nairobi.
The woman was identified as Ann Muthoni Ngunjiri. Her body was found in her bed with a towel stuffed in her mouth while her bloodied clothes were beside the body. The killer knife was also recovered.
Police said the body had a visible stab wound in the left eye and blood was oozing from her mouth when the body was discovered on Sunday February 1.
The boyfriend was missing at the time of the discovery of the body which was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Police said they were looking for the suspect for questioning.
Elsewhere in Nyambera area, Kisii Town, a 40-year-old public health worker was killed in an attack as he walked to his home.
Police said Geoffrey Oruru was walking into his compound when he was confronted and fatally attacked by unknown people.
The motive of the fatal attack was not immediately known.
He was a public health worker based at Keumbu Hospital in the area. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police said they were pursuing good leads over the murder.
In Jaminda, Kakamega County, one David Ongoma, 34 was found murdered and his body dumped in a ditch. The man had on Saturday evening gone to watch a football match at a joint and was to return home. He failed to return home before his wife was called hours later the following day that his body was lying in the ditch. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Police said the body had a slight injury on the head and that the scene was a secondary one. Police were on Monday pursuing leads on the possible primary scene and the killers to establish the motive.
In Miwani, Kisumu County, a human skeleton was found in a sugarcane plantation after a suspected murder.
Police said the skeleton was found in Kibos Sugar and Allied Industries farm and it is believed the deceased was dumped in the area after murder elsewhere.
The skeleton was moved to the mortuary pending identification and other procedures.
In Kiirua, Meru County, the body of a man was found in a compound after a suspected murder.
The deceased was identified as Henry Kimathi, 40. The cause of the death was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
