Xiaomi Launches REDMI Note 15 Series in Kenya, Raising the Bar on Durability and Performance

REDMI NOTE 15 SERIES NOW AVAILABLE IN KENYA
Xiaomi has officially unveiled the REDMI Note 15 Series in Kenya, introducing three new smartphones — the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, REDMI Note 15 Pro, and REDMI Note 15 — designed to deliver enhanced durability, powerful performance, and advanced imaging at competitive price points.
The new lineup debuts REDMI Titan Durability, a reinforced design philosophy focused on long-lasting battery life, improved drop resistance, and advanced dust and water protection across all models. Xiaomi says the series is engineered to withstand the demands of everyday use while offering a smooth and reliable user experience.
At the top of the range, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G features a 6,500mAh Silicon–Carbon battery with 100W HyperCharge support, enabling fast charging and extended endurance. The Pro models retain over 80 per cent battery health after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to about six years of typical use. The standard REDMI Note 15 comes with a 6,000mAh battery, while reverse charging is supported across the lineup.
In terms of build quality, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G has received SGS Premium Performance Certification for resistance to drops, crushing, and bending. It also features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and enhanced internal structural reinforcement. The Pro+ model further boasts IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings, with the ability to withstand immersion of up to two metres for 24 hours.
The series also delivers a significant camera upgrade. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a 200MP main camera, powered by a newly introduced 200MP HPE image sensor, offering optical-level zoom and advanced AI processing. The REDMI Note 15 Pro models support multiple focal lengths through a single lens, while the REDMI Note 15 features a 108MP camera system. AI-powered photography and editing tools are available across the lineup.
Performance is driven by a mix of Snapdragon and MediaTek chipsets, with the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform and featuring Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system. All models support Google Gemini and Circle to Search, with the Pro+ further integrating Xiaomi HyperAI for enhanced on-device intelligence.
The smartphones feature large AMOLED displays with peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits and advanced eye-care technologies. Audio has also been enhanced, with up to a 400 per cent volume boost on the Pro+ model.
In Kenya, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G starts at Sh54,999, the REDMI Note 15 Pro at Sh36,999, and the REDMI Note 15 at Sh24,999. To mark the launch, Xiaomi Kenya is offering free Redmi Buds 6 Play with select purchases, flexible payment plans through Onfon, and up to 15GB of bonus Safaricom data.
The REDMI Note 15 Series is available at Xiaomi partner stores, Safaricom outlets, and online platforms including Mi.com/KE and Jumia, with a 24+1 months warranty. Xiaomi also announced plans to host a Mini Marathon on February 21 as part of its Titan Durability campaign.
