Two Tanzanian clubs Yanga and Simba are eying the services of Gor Mahia striker Meddie Kagere after a thrilling performance at the Sportpesa Super-cup.
According to Tanzanian Sources, the Rwandan skipper is ready to take the offer on condition that the clubs (either Yanga or Simba) give him Tsh180 million (Ksh8 million) and a monthly salary of Tsh7,000,00 (Ksh311,000).
“He (Kagere) wants Tsh180 million (about Sh8 million). He also wants a monthly pay of Tsh7,000,00 (about Sh311,000). If that is guaranteed. The deal will be done,” writes Bingwa, a Tanzanian website.

Kagere emerged the top scorer in the recently concluded SportPesa Super Cup in Nakuru, where he scored four goals in three matches to help the ‘Green Army’ defend the title.
Both clubs participated in the Sportpesa Supercup, with Yanga being bundled out of the tournament by Kakamega Homeboyz at the preliminary level while Simba lost to Gor in the finals.
Gor Coach Dylan Kerr has however been quoted stating that Kagere will remain in Gor till the end of his contract.
“For now he is not leaving. We need him to help us retain the league and try to win the continental championship. At the end of our season, his contract will expire and thereafter it is up to the management to keep him,” says Kerr.
