Zé Felipe’s father, the renowned sertanejo singer Leonardo, has six children from different relationships.

Zé Felipe is the youngest among his half-siblings. He shares a close bond with his half-brother João Guilherme, a well-known actor in Brazilian television.

The two frequently appear together in family events and social media content.

Another half-brother, Pedro Leonardo, is also a sertanejo singer. Pedro continues the musical legacy connected to their late uncle Leandro from the iconic duo Leandro e Leonardo.

    Career

Zé Felipe’s musical career began in 2013 when he was just 15 years old. He drew early inspiration from the sertanejo legacy of his father and his uncle’s duo, Leandro e Leonardo.

For three years, he traveled with his father’s tour as a backing vocalist, stage performer, and guitarist. This period helped him build confidence, stage presence, and songwriting ability.

His breakthrough came in 2016 with the release of the romantic ballad No Me Toca. The song gained widespread popularity and climbed Brazilian music charts.

It marked his official entry into the sertanejo universitário mainstream. He followed this success with songs such as You and I and Longing for You.

These tracks focused on themes of love, longing, and heartbreak.

In 2017, he released his debut EP José. The project showcased a fusion of Latin rhythms and personal storytelling.

Over the years, he released several successful singles and albums. Notable hits include Roca Em Mim and Oh Garota Eu Quero Você Só Pra Mim.

The latter surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify alone. Collaborations with artists like Ana Castela and Enzo Rabelo expanded his audience.

His live shows became known for high energy and strong audience engagement.

Zé Felipe has filled arenas across Brazil with his performances. Alongside music, he has appeared in acting projects such as Tatuada and Trash! A Série.

    Accolades

Zé Felipe received early recognition with a Gold ABPD certification for No Me Toca in 2016. The award reflected the song’s strong commercial performance.

This milestone increased his visibility within the Brazilian music industry.

He has continued to achieve streaming success and chart presence in the years since. Zé Felipe also received a nomination related to his work in the film Tatuada.

In 2025, he won the Multishow Brazilian Music Award for Best Song. The award was shared with singer Ana Castela for their collaboration.

Although he has not yet won a Latin Grammy, his consistent success has positioned him as a strong contender.
