Regional pay TV provider Zuku is expected to announce a further investment of $4.6 million in its satellite TV services. Zuku will be unveiling the details of the investment at an event next week.
According to the initial information provided, Zuku will be migrating from the NSS 12 satellite to the high capacity and more advanced SES 5. This will enable the provider to add more than 17 channels on its bouquets.
Among the new channels lined-up for inclusion include Zuku Movies Max HD, Zuku Sports HD, One Music, VH1, CCTV9, CCTV4, CCTV News, DW (Deutsche Welle) News, Swahili Movies, Setanta Action, UTV, Shorts Movies and Zee Khana Kazana.
It is not clear if Zuku will have to raise its subscription fees upwards with the new channels.
