The body had not been retrieved by Tuesday amid search.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old girl died after a branch of a tree that was being pruned fell on her in a village in Tinderet, Nandi County.

Police said the girl was standing next to where a man was pruning a tree when a branch fell off and trapped her fatally.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and probe.
