President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked NASA and any other group dissatisfied with the presidential election outcome to pursue recourse from the courts.
“Our friends who are yet to accept the outcome…we have extended friendship to them…they should use whatever mechanism in the constitution to express dissatisfaction,” he said.
While addressing the Media at his Harambee House office, he commended the security officers on a job well done but asked them to exercise restraint when dealing with protestors.
“Those who would want to picket can do so but within the provisions of the law. At the end of the day we are all Kenyans. We do not need to turn one another. We don’t need to destroy each other’s property. We thank the police for good work but they should use restraint.”

He however warned those looters posing as demonstrators saying, ”As a government, we will not allow destruction of property loss of lives and looting.”
The President showed up for work on Monday in solidarity with fellow Kenyans who had for the past few days not left home in the wake of violence in some parts of the country.
“Kenyans have said the election is behind them and majority have returned to work. Don’t interrupt the lives of others.”
Uhuru beat Raila Odinga in the just concluded August 8 election by garnering 8.2 million votes against Odinga’s 6.7 million votes.
