Tomorrow, Safaricom and I&M Bank are set to sign a partnership which will see Safaricom’s M-Pesa subscribers have the ability to transfer money from their accounts to Visa pre-paid travel cards. This will be a great move since Safaricom has not been able to release M-Pesa API for development of online payment integrating into the award winning technology.

I&M currently offers Safari Card and Nakumatt Travel cards which both are targeted at frequent travelers. The integration with M-Pesa will be a big leap into the future as more and more clients will be able to take up the products and also make it easier to load money into the cards.
