The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Sunday denied there being inside fights.

Earlier reports indicated that two commissioners engaged in a physical fight after they discovered that their passwords had been used to access the election results database.

According to an internet user, the altercation involved Chairman Wafula Chebukati and Director of ICT, Muhati.

He alleged that ‘Chebukati’s password was used to access the database over 9,000 times at different spots across the country. The same account was used to remove Kisumu county folder, containing all results from Kisumu county. It didn’t stop there. These users, without Chebukati’s knowledge, again used his password to delete form 34As and 34Bs from the servers.’

The Chair is said to have sought answers form Muhati who is said to have been ‘non-committal.’ The fist fight reportedly ensued right after.

The electoral body has however denied all the allegations saying that ‘all is well.’

For the records, we have not had any scuffles or crisis meetings as reported. All is well, save for the fake news.

NASA Principal Raila Odinga a few days ago named 6 people behind the ‘fraudulent’ August 8 election and Mr Chebukati did not make the list.

The Supreme Court judges on Friday ordered for fresh polls to be held within 60 days citing irregularities in presidential results transmission.

NASA has however called for the disbandment of the body citing ‘lack of faith’ in it.
