Raila Odinga during an interview with Al Jazeera described the annulled election as an injustice, maintaining that he won the August 8 elections and that the numbers were manipulated.

He applauded the Supreme court for the annulment saying that the court’s decision was the right thing.

When asked about his thoughts about Deputy President William Ruto’s criticism of him as a man who is unable to win elections and that he was blackmailing Kenyans with violence, chaos, bloodshed and anarchy; he said that the deputy president seemed to be suffering from amnesia.

”Ruto basically suffers from amnesia. In 2007 he was with me. He was in the front line fighting against the rigging of the election.”

”Mr Ruto lives in denial. Because he himself witnessed election rigging first hand,” Odinga said.

The former prime minister said that his coalition was disappointed in election observers as they termed the process as credible and even questioned their role in observing elections.

He mentioned that people like John Mahama who is Ghana’s president failed to disclose that he had conflict of interests as President Uhuru Kenyatta was his friend.

He said that if he looses fairly, he would accept and tell his supporters that they lost fairly but if there would be rigging he would exercise his right to peacefully demonstrate and picket as it is enshrined in the constitution.
