President William Ruto led in mourning the death of a son to Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi.

The son was identified as Elvis Murakana.

“May God grant Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family strength to bear with the loss of their dear son, Elvis Murakana,” Ruto said.

“Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

The cause of death remains unclear as messages of condolences continue to pour in.

Kileleshwa Ward MCA Robert Alai said it was with a heavy heart that he extended his deepest condolences to Elachi and her family following the loss.

“As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join the people of Dagoretti North and beyond in mourning this profound loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength and solace in the love and support that surrounds you,” he said.

Alai added that Kileleshwa Ward community offers unwavering support and prayers for Elachi and her family as they navigate the grief.

Veteran broadcaster Fred Obachi Machokaa also sent his message of solace to the MP.

“Parents prefer being buried by their children but God’s plans don’t necessarily align with ours. Poleni sana the Elachis, may the Almighty God comfort you at this very difficult moment.”

Shinyalu MP Fredrick Lusuli mourned the passing of Elvis.

“On behalf of my family and the great people of Shinyalu, I send my sincere condolences to my big sister and colleague Hon Beatrice Elachi and her family for the sad loss of their dear son Elvis.”
