M-Pesa users will experience a short interruption in service on the night of Monday, April 7, 2025, as Safaricom conducts scheduled system maintenance.

In a public notice, Safaricom announced that the maintenance will take place between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. The company said the move is aimed at improving customer experience and ensuring a more secure and reliable service.

“To meet our promise to always offer a reliable, safe, secure and superior customer experience, we will be conducting a scheduled system maintenance on the night of Monday, April 7, 2025, starting from 1:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.,” the statement read.

During the 30-minute maintenance period, all M-Pesa services, including sending and receiving money, will be intermittently unavailable.

However, Safaricom assured customers that other services such as voice calls, data, and SMS will not be affected.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for choosing us as your trusted service provider,” the company added.
