Liliana Mumy, born on April 16, 1994, in San Marcos, California, is an American actress and voice artist whose career spans both live-action and animated projects.

The daughter of former child actor and musician Bill Mumy, known for his role as Will Robinson in Lost in Space, and Eileen Joy Mumy, a childbirth educator, Liliana grew up immersed in the entertainment industry.

Her early exposure to acting, coupled with her natural talent, led her to begin her career at the age of five, starting with voice work and quickly transitioning to on-screen roles.

Over the years, Mumy has established herself as a recognizable figure in Hollywood, particularly for her voice acting in popular animated shows.

    Siblings

Liliana has one sibling, an older brother named Seth Mumy, who is also a former child actor.

Seth, like Liliana, followed in their father’s footsteps by pursuing acting at a young age.

One of his notable roles was a guest appearance as a child in an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.

While Seth’s acting career was less extensive than Liliana’s, the siblings share a connection through their early experiences in the entertainment industry.

    Career

Mumy’s career began with voice acting, debuting at age five in the English dub of the Japanese animated film My Neighbors the Yamadas in 1999.

This early start paved the way for a string of roles in both live-action and voice work.

She gained prominence for her live-action roles as Jessica Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen (2003) and its sequel Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005), where she played one of the many children in the chaotic Baker family alongside stars like Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt.

She also portrayed Lucy Miller in The Santa Clause 2 (2002) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006), sharing the screen with Tim Allen.

Her television credits include guest appearances on shows like Scrubs, That ’70s Show, and My Wife and Kids, where she showcased her ability to handle comedic and dramatic roles alike.

Mumy’s voice acting career, however, has been the cornerstone of her work.

She is widely recognized for voicing Mertle Edmonds in Disney’s Lilo & Stitch franchise, including the television series and spin-off films.

Her distinctive voice brought life to characters like Panini in Cartoon Network’s Chowder, Human Kimberly in Nickelodeon’s Catscratch, and Roxy in the Nickelodeon revival of Winx Club.

One of her most enduring roles is Leni Loud in Nickelodeon’s The Loud House, a role she has voiced since 2016, often collaborating with her father, Bill Mumy, who has appeared in episodes of both The Loud House and Bravest Warriors, where Liliana voices Beth Tezuka.

Other voice credits include Twinkle in Higglytown Heroes, Rosebud in Disney’s Snow Buddies and its sequels, and various characters in Sofia the First and American Dragon: Jake Long.

    Accolades

In 2004, Mumy shared a Young Artist Award for Best Young Ensemble in a Feature Film for her role in Cheaper by the Dozen, alongside her co-stars, highlighting her contribution to the film’s ensemble cast.

In 2017, she won a BTVA (Behind the Voice Actors) Television Voice Acting Award for Best Vocal Ensemble in a New Television Series for The Loud House, a testament to her standout performance as Leni Loud and the strength of the show’s cast.

Mumy has also received multiple nominations for her voice work, including several BTVA Awards, reflecting her skill in bringing animated characters to life.
