Emerging details now show that woman in the middle of the Olive Restaurant breastfeeding debacle in fact lied about being thrown out of the establishment.

According to CCTV footage, the woman, identified as Betty Kim breastfeeds her child as she has her meal.

On May 7 Betty claimed that the restaurant management asked her to feed her child in the washrooms as she had not properly covered the child.

But the management refutes the claims and according to the video footage, she ‘sat at around 12:38pm and placed her order within a minute of sitting. Her food was delivered at 12:42pm, exactly 4 minutes after ordering.’

She told the media that the waiters took close to thirty minutes before getting her food to her causing the baby to get hungry.

The woman is also seen engaging a waitress for at least 30 seconds as she pays her bill and the table cleared. She smiles and before leaving orders for hot water which is then served in a white cup.

Betty then leaves at her own pleasure and was not ordered out as earlier alleged.

Here is the video footage from the restaurant:

The hotel management says that the protests held on Tuesday by Women of Kenya on behalf of their children outside the hotel has really affected the business.

The hotel, through their lawyer Martin Njiru, says that they would like to have a sit down with the said mother who is yet to publicly verify the claims.
