An advert for a drivers job from University of Eldoret  has raised eyebrows after they were to required have the HELB clearance yet the qualifications require that candidates only having a valid driving license and a KCSE certificate.

The have also been required to pay Sh.6000 to get clearance from the commission of university education before applying the said jobs yet this people have not attended universities.

The applicants are also required to personally present the document at the commission of university Education so as to get a stamp that means that applicants have to travel to Nairobi where the office s are located  so as to get the clearance stamp.

This alongside all the other clearance that job seekers are required to have before applying for government or parastatal jobs.

This clearance certificate are often seen as daylight robbery  as this is a jib seeker who is assumed not have any source of income to pay for all this clearance. This is also termed as daylight robbery because all applicants including those who would not qualify would still be required to pay the money.

The same applicants have been asked to incur an extra cost of making sure that their referees send a confidential report via post.

Parliament had tabled a suggestion to eliminate this clearance requirements from job seekers as it acted as n impediment  to people who do not have an income to provide all this documents  yet they do not have money to pay for the same.
