The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced over 300 new job vacancies.
In a public notice dated August 19, 2025 KRA said it is recruiting 200 graduate trainees, just days after inviting students to apply for paid industrial attachments.
KRA confirmed that diploma and university students currently in their third, fourth, or final year will be eligible for a three-month paid attachment between October and December 2025. The interns will receive a monthly stipend of Sh7,000.
The opportunity is part of the government’s Youth Initiative aimed at helping young Kenyans gain practical experience before entering the job market.
Interested students have until September 2 to apply via the KRA e-recruitment portal. Applicants must be Kenyan citizens between 18 and 35 years old and must submit an official introduction letter from their learning institution. They must also be available full-time during the attachment period.
KRA noted that all applications must be submitted online, and that no fees are charged during the process. Shortlisted applicants will be required to provide proof of personal accident insurance, a KRA PIN certificate, Social Health Authority and NSSF membership, a national ID, and bank account details.
The Authority said it expects a high number of applicants due to the limited industrial attachment opportunities in the country, noting that many private companies charge students while some public institutions only accommodate those with personal connections.
In the same notice, KRA has also advertised 50 driver vacancies and several technical job positions including Data Integration Officer, Revenue Assurance and Fraud Analytics Officer, Security Tools Operations Officer, Business Application Support Officer, Data Centre Operations Officer, Knowledge Management Officer (Strategy & Programmes), and Knowledge Management Officer (Knowledge Infrastructure). Each of these technical positions has one vacancy.
Applicants for the job positions have until September 8, 2025 at 11:59pm to submit their applications online through the KRA careers portal.
Full job descriptions and requirements are available on the KRA website.
KRA has urged all interested candidates to visit its official portal, register an account, update their profile, and follow the online application procedure carefully. The Authority reminded the public that it does not charge any fee for job or attachment applications.
